Sheila Alexander
Ms. Alexander is a 1993 graduate of The Sun Coast School of Massage In Tampa, Fl. She is licensed by the state of North Carolina (#3536), an approved continuing education provider by the NCBTMB (#200), contributor to Massage Magazine, 2021 inductee to The World Massage Hall Of Fame and a member of The American Massage Therapy Association. Her expertise in seated massage has featured her in The Charlotte Observer and on NBC-TV.
Sheila’s background includes a love for people and a passion for service. As a childcare worker and rehabilitation therapist for Lutheran Family Services in Charlotte, NC, serving dependent, neglected and abused children, she found touch and humor as tools for healing. In 2002 she relocated to her native NC to home care her father with Alzheimer’s disease, then provided care for her mother’s terminal cancer. In 2004, Sheila created a specialized massage practice for The Pines At Davidson, a continuing care retirement community, for their residents in all levels of care. In 2011, Sheila was approved as a provider for continuing education to teach this profound work to the massage and healthcare communities. She retired from her practice in 2021 to travel and teach her method, Senior Spa.
